ThanksGIVING
We are entering a special time of the year. This is a season of holidays, family gatherings and memories. The month has a special meaning to many. When one hears the mention of the holiday that accompanies November, the mind summons up the smell of a table filled with delicious foods and the expectancy of watching your favorite team in a football game.
For many, however, Thanksgiving is just another day. A day looking for a way to keep warm, a day at a rescue mission seeking food, or a day spent in loneliness. My challenge to each of us: this year, let us make November a time of thanksGIVING.
ThanksGIVING: give to others and express thanks for your ability to do so. Find a way to express generosity to others, especially those who have little. Find a way to give your time as well as your money so that others will benefit. Practice abundance by giving back. Christ taught us to give and when we give thankfully, we will have a heart filled with joy beyond measure.
