Let God Light Your Way

Let God Light Your Way

On the night of April 14, 1912, the Titanic sank to the bottom of the Atlantic in the frigid black of night, the victim of a giant iceberg hidden beneath the surface. More than 1,500 died, including millionaires John Jacob Astor, Benjamin Guggenheim and Isadore Strauss. The time taken to sink was less than three hours.

Life is like the Titanic. Sometimes we are struck by dangers lurking beneath the surface. There are avoidable tragedies caused by overly inappropriate behavior, confident individuals, fast-paced lifestyles, foolish priorities, unstable structures and dangers out of sight. Life is full of shipwrecks waiting to happen.

Bottom line:  God’s Word provides a caution light for matters that may wreck your life. For many, the Bible is the lighthouse on a cliff preventing a catastrophe against the unseen. Scripture is filled with instructions to prevent tragedies. Follow Christ’s teachings and you are more likely to avoid the calamities of life which may cause your life to wreck.
